Sibyha announced a five-day conference of Ukrainian ambassadors under the slogan “Restoring Peace and Ukraine’s Leadership”

Next week the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold its annual meeting of the leaders of Ukraine’s overseas diplomatic missions. This year it will last five days and will be held under the slogan “Restoring Peace and Ukraine’s Leadership.”

This was reported by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibyha.

According to the head of the MFA, the conference theme is traditionally chosen in line with the main challenges facing Ukrainian diplomacy.

“Restoring peace — because there is no task more important for our diplomacy than ending the war. Ukraine’s leadership — because our country is gaining a new role on the international stage that needs to be consolidated and scaled up,” Sibyha explained.

As part of the event, President Volodymyr Zelensky will address the Ukrainian ambassadors and outline the key priorities of the new political season. Speeches by Verkhovna Rada Chair Ruslan Stefanchuk and Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi are also planned.

Separate sessions will be held with the participation of First Lady Olena Zelenska, the leadership of the Office of the President, and government officials responsible for energy and European integration.

The second day of the conference will be devoted to defense and security issues, in particular strengthening air and missile defense systems, developing an anti-ballistic coalition, returning Ukrainian captives, and increasing international pressure on Russia.

The third day will focus on economic diplomacy, development of consular services, and support for Ukrainian citizens abroad. The fourth will be dedicated to work in international organizations, public diplomacy, and the development of “soft power,” and on the final day participants will set the main priorities and tasks of Ukrainian diplomacy for the coming year.
