The largest MIA service center plans to move to a mall whose owners are suspected of ties to the Russian Federation – ZN.UA

Territorial Service Center (TSC) No. 8041 is one of the largest in Ukraine. According to a report by ZN.UA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to move the center from Berezetsky Avenue, 20, to the premises of Blockbuster Mall on Stepan Bandera Avenue, 36, whose owners have appeared in an SBU proceeding.

Journalists of the publication reported on the planned address change, citing unnamed sources.

"According to available information, renovations are already underway at Blockbuster Mall to accommodate the service center, which indicates that there were understandings that did not pass through the public monitoring system. The situation raises serious concern because Blockbuster Mall has repeatedly drawn the attention of law enforcement due to the 'Russian trace' of its beneficiaries," the publication states.

According to the publication, among the beneficiaries of this mall are Vagif Aliyev, who in open sources is linked to LLC "InvestBud Garant", which owns the mall.

"Media has reported his citizenship as Russian and a check of certain financial operations by law enforcement authorities," writes ZN.UA.

According to journalists, this year the SBU conducted investigative actions regarding another co-owner of Blockbuster Mall, Oleksandr Spector, in a case about possible cooperation to bypass sanctions by former Ukrainian official and politician Viktor Medvedchuk.

"Law enforcement officers are checking financial operations and the activities of related companies. Spector himself denies the accusations and states that he had no financial relations with Medvedchuk, and that his business operates in Ukraine and pays taxes," the article notes.
