Former Head of the SBU Named Three Main Effects of Strikes on Russian Territory

The main effect of the 40-day operation by Ukraine against the Russian Federation is not in a few successful strikes, but in a comprehensive military, logistical, and economic pressure on the aggressor country. This view was expressed by the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine and now a member of parliament Valentyn Nylyavaychenko in the material of the newspaper Glavkom, “Operation 40 days” for Putin. The results and forecasts.

According to the chosen official, the SBU operation simultaneously affects the military, logistical, and economic potential of the aggressor country. He emphasized that the strikes are delivered not only on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories but also increasingly deep into Russia’s rear.

“A comprehensive impact on the Russian Federation — military-technical, economic, and logistical. Also on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and on the territory of the Russian Federation itself, including in remote regions of the aggressor country,” he noted.

The former head of the SBU noted that among the already known results of the campaign are the destruction of military aircraft, communications centers, sea vessels, transportation infrastructure, and facilities of the fuel and energy complex.

Special significance, in his view, is given to strikes on oil refineries, oil depots, and fuel supply infrastructure. It is precisely because of these objects, Nylyavaychenko explained, that the Russian army is supplied with gasoline and diesel fuel both on the territory of Russia and on the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

Separately, he drew attention to attacks on the logistics networks of the largest Russian marketplace Wildberries.

“This is systemic economic pressure and the destruction of logistics networks, warehouses like Wildberries, and not only. They have a serious, large-scale impact on both the economy of the aggressor country and the people who now see on their own territory what Putin’s war has led to,” Nylyavaychenko said.

We remind you that at the end of June, Volodymyr Zelensky approved the 40-day operation to influence the aggressor state Russia in order to compel an end to the war.

Earlier Glavkom reported that within the 40-day influence campaign on the Russian Federation, the Security Service carried out more than 100 successful strikes on strategically important facilities on Russian territory and on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
