Russia destroyed Epicenter’s key logistics centers: company halts production

During the night, Russian missiles hit the company's production and logistics facilities of Epicentr. One person died, and one of the largest ceramic tile productions in Ukraine was effectively lost.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement from Epicentr.

What happened at night

The enemy simultaneously struck two key logistics complexes of the company. In Kyiv, on Viskozhna Street, one of Epicentr's logistics centers completely burned down.

Another strike hit the logistics-production complex in Kalynivka. As a result of direct missile strikes, two large warehouse complexes were completely destroyed.

Another missile hit the production site of the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant. The blast destroyed all production furnaces, making further operation of the enterprise impossible.

Consequences of the attack

In the Kalynivka logistics-production complex, a company employee was killed. Three more colleagues were injured and taken to the hospital.

Near the logistics complex, the parking lot of private employees' cars was also completely destroyed — 20 cars burned down to the ground.

“Our employee died — a young guy whose whole life lay ahead,” the company statement said.

Production stopped: what comes next

The company decided to suspend production at the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant. To avoid product shortages, Epicentr outlined a plan of action:

first, production will be transferred to two of the company's overseas facilities;

at the same time, preparations will begin to launch production at another plant in Ukraine.

According to preliminary estimates by the company, full restoration of the destroyed production will take at least one and a half years, and most likely about two years.

“The scale of the damage cannot be fully assessed yet. But today this is not only about losses for the company. It is a targeted blow to Ukrainian industry, logistics, jobs, and the country’s ability to recover,” Epicentr stated.
