Mandatory evacuation of children introduced in Donetsk region 525 due to shelling

In Donetsk region, compulsory, enforced evacuation of children from certain areas of the Kramatorsk community has been introduced. This step was taken due to intensified Russian shelling and the threat to civilians. The evacuation will concern 525 children from 424 families, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, said.

Specifically, 59 children from 46 families in the village of Krasnotorka, 140 children from 104 families in the village of Bileneke, and 326 children from 274 families in Kramatorsk will be evacuated. In the regional capital itself, this applies to minors living in the most dangerous parts of the city.

Children will be evacuated together with parents, guardians acting in their stead, or other lawful representatives.

“This is a difficult but necessary decision. The security situation is worsening, so leaving children under the constant threat of Russian strikes is unacceptable. I urge parents not to delay and to assist the work of evacuation teams,” Filashkin emphasized.
