Rockets from the United States won't be enough: expert explains problem with Russia's missile launchers

Wikipedia/Enemies' launchers of operational-tactical rocket complexes need to be destroyed at the moment of their deployment. This is what Ivan Stupak, a military expert, a SBU employee in the 2004-2015 years, said on the air of Kyiv 24.

Answering the question of whether we have the capability to destroy the enemy START launchers during their deployment, he noted that the deployment time is 10-15 minutes.

“Our troops clearly know in advance when and what, where it will be moved to, where it will be launched… Another story is that we still cannot reach them yet,” Stupak added.

At the same time, he says, there are still certain ways to “catch” these launchers so as not to wait for American missiles, because “we won't have enough of them.” The expert emphasized:

“The president spoke about 300 units, asked the Americans for them. But that’s half of annual production. Secondly, in the last month alone, nearly 130 ballistic missiles hit us. So this stock would be enough for literally 2,5-3 months of active shelling. And then what?”.

Thus, Stupak emphasized, enemy launchers must be destroyed at the moment of their deployment.

Ukrainian ballistics

As reported by UNIAN, earlier Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that within 2026-2027 years it would be possible to create Ukrainian ballistics and corresponding anti-ballistic countermeasures.

He described a meeting regarding the preparation of Ukrainian ballistics and the status of tasks under the anti-ballistic FREYJA program. A schedule and responsible persons for program components that require acceleration were defined.
