OSCE Ambassador Visited the Site of a Russian Strike on a Residential Building in Podil for the Second Time

During the first visit, the ambassador met with one of the residents of the building. This time he returned to personally check on the woman and to give her a small gift.

Also, Petr Mareš visited the mother of a woman with a disability who lost her husband as a result of the Russian strike. For people whose lives have been forever changed by the war, such attention and personal support have special significance.

During the meeting, Volodymyr Nakonechnyi, head of the Podil district state administration in Kyiv, showed the Ambassador the equipment of the management company that was destroyed in the attack. He was also given a list of damaged and destroyed equipment and the district's needs.

The destroyed equipment provided essential services to Podil on a daily basis: it was used for emergency works, maintenance of the housing stock, elimination of consequences of emergencies, and preparation of buildings for the autumn-winter period.

“Russian attacks are not only about ruined buildings. They are about destroyed equipment, damaged infrastructure, lost lives and human destinies. Behind every such attack are real people who are forced to rebuild their lives essentially from scratch.”
