Currency rates 9 August 2026: how much the dollar, euro and złoty cost

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) published the official exchange rates for the morning of Sunday, 9 August 2026. Compared with 8 August, the official rates for the US dollar, euro, British pound, Polish złoty and Swiss franc did not change. This was reported by “Glavcom.”

The regulator set the official dollar rate at 44,76, the euro at 51,67 UAH, and the Polish złoty at 12,01 UAH.

Over the week the US dollar, euro, British pound, Polish złoty and Swiss franc appreciated.

By the way, the National Bank of Ukraine approved a major update to the rules for the insurance sector. The regulator revised the authorization procedure for insurance intermediaries in the specialized Register and also adjusted the requirements for selling insurance and reinsurance products. The innovations are intended to remove bureaucratic obstacles, resolve existing practical difficulties and significantly reduce administrative pressure on business.

Incidentally, from 4 September 2026 the National Bank of Ukraine will issue a new banknote with a denomination of 2 thousand UAH. The chair of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, commented on the possible impact of putting the new banknote into circulation.
