A car fell through the road in Vyhhorod on Vynohradar in Kyiv — water main burst

On Bilytska Street in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, a leak occurred in the water supply network on the roadway on 10 August, causing a car to sink into the road. This was reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police.

- Due to a pipe rupture on Bilytska Street, traffic is disrupted. Relevant services are carrying out repair work on site. Please take this information into account when planning your route, the message said.

Later, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that specialists from Kyivvodokanal had already localized the leak. However, as of 9:30 in the morning, traffic on the street was restricted and some routes had changes.

- Bus No. 32 is operating with changes: Ivana Vyhovskoho St. – Heorhiia Honhadze Ave. – Svobody Ave. – European Union Ave. – Vyshhorodska St., then continues along its regular route. Special equipment is expected to evacuate the vehicle that fell into the sinkhole. After that, repair crews will begin work on the network, the message said.

Water supply is also temporarily unavailable at some addresses on Bilytska Street.

10 June reported that in Kyiv a heat main rupture flooded the basement premises of the Smoloskyp bookstore, where all the books of the like‑named publishing house were stored. As a result of the accident, a significant portion of the publications was destroyed.
