Summer Without Alerts: Children of Ukrainian Heroes Underwent Rehabilitation in the Carpathians

Children of servicemembers 1 of the separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named after Ivan Bohun returned from a trip to the Carpathians, where they spent 8 unforgettable days. Among them were children of active servicemembers, fallen Heroes, and soldiers who are currently considered missing.

A first experience of independence For many of the 79 children, this trip was their first independent journey. Without parents. With anxiety, worries, dozens of questions and doubts. And not only for the children — for their relatives as well. They were treated to meetings and performances by well-known Ukrainian artists, heartfelt conversations, new discoveries, and lots of vivid emotions. Those eight days were a time when they could at least for a little while forget about air-raid alerts, losses, and constant tension, feel simply like children again, and return home with warm memories, new friends, and smiles. Its representatives are constantly in touch with servicemembers’ families, providing support, assistance, and building trust step by step. The organizers express sincere gratitude to the charitable organization "After Service," the public organization "Mercy and Health," and the company "Ukrainian Armor" for implementing the "Summer Without War" project, which for the fourth year now gives military children the opportunity to rest, recover, and simply be children.
