DTEK restored power to 1,2 million families: which regions were hit hardest

Over the week from 3 to 9 August, DTEK energy workers restored electricity to more than 1,2 million families in Donetsk, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Thus, from 3 to 9 August, the distribution system operators (DSOs) "DTEK Grids" were able to fully or partially restore power to 436 settlements that had been de-energized as a result of enemy shelling. The largest volume of work was carried out in Donetsk region, where, despite ongoing hostilities and new damage to energy facilities, power was restored over the week to 774,3 thousand families. In Odesa region the energy workers returned power to 227,8 thousand families, and in Dnipropetrovsk region — to 206,6 thousand households.

Recall that over six months Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK restored 240 network energy facilities that were damaged during hostilities. Earlier, DTEK explained why power is turned off by neighborhoods rather than individual buildings. They also reported that DTEK increased the installation of smart meters and explained their advantages.
