"Don't escalate!" Air Forces appealed to the media regarding "unshot-down missiles"

The Air Forces of Ukraine daily face massive attacks from the Russian Federation using all available means. And despite everything, they have successes in downing enemy missiles and drones.

The Air Forces urged the media. Ignat again addressed Ukrainian media and Telegram channels. "Our monitoring groups looked at how much information there was specifically about ballistic [missiles] during, in particular, the last attacks, including on Odesa region. If you search Google for "Air Forces", you will find "not a single missile downed"—which, he noted, is thousands of links that will not make anyone's life easier. "If we start sensationalizing with such headlines... the enemy simply quotes and republishes... Ukrainian media, Ukrainian Telegram channels," Ignat observed. He added that there is no need to do "all the work for Skabeyeva, Solovyov, and so on." And he emphasized that the way information is presented is very important for the Ukrainian internal audience. The Air Forces are doing their job. The colonel stressed that the Ukrainian side awaits deliveries from partners; enormous work is being carried out, while there is an issue with the lack of anti-ballistic weapons. According to Ignat, the enemy is currently attacking port infrastructure and logistics. Russia wants to influence certain economic levers. In doing so, Russia uses a large number of different air assets: missiles on ballistic trajectories, kamikaze drones, including reactived, cruise and air-launched missiles. The PVO (Air Defense) heroically counteracts these attacks with all available means, Ignat confirmed. The share of downed Shahed-type drones remains at the maximum level—up to 95%. "Of course, regarding missiles that fly on ballistic trajectories, unfortunately, we cannot say as much due to the lack of Patriot missiles—the only system capable of countering ballistic missiles," says Ignat.

Earlier, RBK-Ukraine reported that the commander of the Ukrainian unmanned systems forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdy, spoke about Russia's plans. The aggressor country aims to nearly triple the number of ballistic missiles in a single air strike on Ukraine. It was also reported that U.S. President Donald Trump promised Ukraine a license to manufacture Patriot missiles. However, a few weeks later he backed away from his words, citing concerns that technologies could fall into the wrong hands.
