Zelensky discussed personnel proposals with the military leadership

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that important military issues were resolved today. This is reported by Hlavkom with reference to the president's social media posts.

"Important military issues were decided today. We discussed personnel proposals. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mykhailo Drahpaty in collaboration with Ihor Skibyuk and Yevhenii Khmara proposed a vision of changes. Part of the decisions are prepared; there will be more decisions. We discussed in detail the front-line situation — measures to strengthen key directions, including in Donetsk region," the president stressed.

Zelenskiy thanked all units achieving tangible results in defending Ukrainian positions and destroying Russian occupiers in the areas of Sloviansk, Kostyantynivka, and Dobropillia. He separately noted the air assault forces units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for active actions in designated areas and said that during the meeting further steps were agreed that should expand the operational capabilities of Ukrainian troops.

"We discussed in detail the implementation of the long-range sanctions plan against Russia, as well as our mid-strikes. Some operations were adjusted, approved, and new operations were planned. Ukrainian accuracy is what allows us not to yield initiative to the Russians in the war and to rely on the possibility of diplomatic solutions. Thanks to every SBSU warrior, our missile troops, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence for ensuring the execution of Ukraine's long-range sanctions," the head of state noted.

The president emphasized that significant attention during the meeting was given to air defense issues and needs for protection of frontline and border towns and communities, regional centers, and the capital from Russian attacks. He stressed that he expects concrete results from Ukraine's diplomatic team in providing the necessary military capabilities.

"Air defense themes for Ukraine must be at the top of the attention for every leader, every state that can help. Glory to Ukraine!" added Zelenskiy.

Incidentally, 7 in August, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy heard a report from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mykhailo Drahpatyi. The main focus during the discussion was on the defense of Kostyantynivka, Sloviansk, and the situation in Donetsk region in general.
