In the Rada, they announced 2 million men out of military registration

In Ukraine, about 2 million conscriptable men may be outside the military registration system. In the Verkhovna Rada they stated that first it is necessary to establish who exactly is not in the state's view, and only then assess the mobilization resource.

This was stated by MP, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Oleksandr Fediyenko.

According to the deputy, one of the main tasks now is to determine the number of those liable for military service who are not registered. He believes that without this it is impossible to adequately assess the mobilization situation.

“We have approximately 2 million dodgers. They are not on the radar,” Fediyenko said.

The deputy explained that the state must find out who among men has an active deferral, who uses a postponement, and who has no lawful grounds for exemption from conscription.

According to him, after this it will be possible to more accurately determine the mobilization resource and work with the military registration system.

Fediyenko also commented on the issue of deferment for parents with many children. He noted that in the near future there are no plans to change the laws regarding men who raise three or more children.

The deputy added that despite discussions around the petition to review the rules of mobilization for parents with many children, this issue is not being considered in the parliament at the moment.

Regarding a large-scale reform of mobilization legislation, Fediyenko stated that there are no concrete decisions about drastic changes yet. The specialized committee continues to work on mobilization issues together with the Ministry of Defense.
