Zelensky: At the Headquarters we discussed funding the Defense Forces for the autumn-winter period and targeted operations against collaborators in Sevastopol

“I chaired the Security Council. The key issue is funding needed for our Armed Forces and security of Ukraine for the autumn-winter period. We identified the main deficits and additional needs for the development of the most innovative and technological types of weapons, acceleration of production of our strike systems and new types of defensive weapons, in particular rocket interceptors. Intelligence provided updated information on Russia’s plans — we are preparing countermeasures and our asymmetric counteractions,” President Zelenskiy said on Telegram 14 in August.

According to him, at the Security Council of the Commander-in-Chief they “analyze results of long-range sanctions against Russia, as well as mid-range sanctions” on a weekly basis.

“The defined sanctions plan is being implemented, and we promptly adjust priorities so that Ukraine’s capabilities at 100% meet the need to achieve all goals of our sanctions plan,” Zelenskiy noted.

“Ihor Klymenko reported on the status of the implements of the Security Council’s and National Security and Defense Council’s decisions and directions that require additional attention. There was also a separate briefing from the special services on the status of targeted operations against collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories, in particular in Sevastopol, who take part in Russian strikes against Ukraine and Ukrainians. The responsibility of the collaborators is inevitable,” the President of Ukraine also said.
