Exchange rates 16 August 2026: how much the dollar, euro and zloty cost

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) published the official exchange rates for Sunday morning, 16 August 2026 of the year. Compared to 15 August, the official rate has not changed. This is reported by «Glavkom».

The regulator set the dollar rate at 44,69, the euro at 51,61 UAH, and the Polish zloty at 11,99 UAH.

Over the week, the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Polish zloty, and the Swiss franc have risen in value.

By the way, the National Bank of Ukraine approved a major update of rules for the insurance sector. The regulator revised the procedure for authorizing insurance intermediaries in the specialized Register, and also adjusted the requirements for selling insurance and reinsurance products. The changes are intended to remove bureaucratic obstacles, address practical difficulties, and significantly reduce administrative pressure on business.

By the way, from September 4 from the year 2026 the National Bank of Ukraine will issue a new banknote in circulation with the denomination of 2 thousand hryvnias. The head of the parliamentary committee on finances, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmanets, commented on the possible impact of introducing the new banknote.
