Kuleba urged Kyiv residents to prepare for a new reality due to constant shelling

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that residents of Kyiv should prepare to live in a new reality, where an air alert is followed by an explosion seconds later. According to him, that is how the shelling of the capital currently unfolds — a warning about danger leaves residents with minimal time to seek shelter. The former diplomat emphasized that he does not foresee any significant changes to this situation in the near future.

Kuleba made the statement in an interview with Alisa Batsman.

"Alarm, 30 seconds — and an explosion immediately follows," said Dmytro Kuleba, former Ukraine’s foreign minister.

The ex-diplomat stressed that Kyiv residents should continue to prepare for such a scenario, as rapid improvements in air defense are not expected.

Warned about hard periods earlier still

This is not the first alarming statement from Kuleba about the capital’s situation. Earlier he warned that Kyiv would be hit mercilessly because it is the capital, and Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv because they are simply close by. He also acknowledged that there is no solution yet for countering guided air bombs, and one is not expected soon.

Similar cautions from Kuleba have been repeated for several months, each time stressing that he is not trying to scare fellow citizens, but merely describe the real state of affairs in Kyiv’s air defense.

Kyiv continues to be attacked by ballistic missiles
