Maryana Bezuhla returned to the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People”

The statement by Maryana Bezuhla, elected 2019 to parliament from “Servant of the People” in the 217 single-member district in the capital’s Obolon district, and later expelled from the faction, announcing her new entry into the ranks of the pro-presidential people's deputies, was read aloud by First Vice Speaker of the Rada Oleksandr Korniienko.

KV learned about this during the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on 18 August 2026.

“According to the submitted statement (…) I inform you about the entry of people's deputy of Ukraine Bezuhla Maryana Volodymyrivna into the membership of the parliamentary faction of the political party ‘Servant of the People.’ Congratulations, Maryana Volodymyrivna!” Korniienko said.

As KV reported, in July 2024 Bezuhla voluntarily left the “Servant of the People” faction in the Rada. “I no longer have the moral strength to associate myself with the faction even formally,” she said then. That statement followed the decision of the parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence to remove her from the position of head of the subcommittee on civil democratic oversight and control.

Earlier, the people's deputy criticized former Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi, saying that, allegedly, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had no plans for the war. After the appointment of the new commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi was also criticized by the deputy, in particular regarding the activities of the territorial recruitment centers and medical-sanitary units, as well as personnel issues among the general staff.
