In Donetsk region this year 200 schools will operate: more than 1,8 thousand children will enter 1 grade

This year 200 schools will operate in the Donetsk region; 1 822 child(ren) will enter 1 grade.

This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin.

According to him, in wartime the education system must be flexible and respond quickly to changes in the security situation.

“Our priorities remain unchanged: safety, continuity, and quality of education. Since most children study remotely, special attention is needed to cybersecurity and protection of the educational environment,” he noted.

There is very little time left before the start of the school year, so all necessary decisions must be worked out in a timely manner.

“A separate emphasis is the ‘Schoolchild Package’… We must do everything necessary so that all first-graders in the region who are entitled to it receive this support,” Filashkin emphasized.
