Drones Are Massively Attacking Moscow for the Second Night in a Row: A Blackout Was Declared in Part of the City

Drone attacks on Russia are intensifying. Drones are attacking the capital of the aggressor country for the second night in a row. According to official data, the number of downed drones has exceeded 25, and parts of airports have limited operation. Yaroslavl airport has suspended operations as well — the regional governor explained this by security measures, which forced restrictions on transport connections toward Moscow. On the eve in Moscow, after a fire at a CHP, electricity disappeared in several districts, and later widespread outages in the internet and websites began across Russia. The most complaints came from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. In several areas of Moscow there were power outages, after which widespread internet outages began, reported the Telegram channel “Careful, Moscow.” Users across Russia complain about inaccessibility of websites and services, as well as problems with the largest providers and communications operators, in particular Rostelecom, Megafon, Beeline, and Lovit. In the last hour, the Downdetector service has received over a thousand reports of outages. According to Russian media, power disappeared after a fire at the CHP-20. In addition, it is reported that a drone struck a residential building in Ufa, one person injured. Also at least five grain ships were attacked by drones near Russia’s Black Sea ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources who asked not to be named. Four vessels were attacked on Tuesday morning, another grain carrier came under fire on Monday. As FACTI reported, the night of 18 August, the capital of Russia and the region experienced a massive drone attack — several fires were recorded in the region. And on the night of 16 August, as a result of a similar attack, the largest warehouse of the Wildberries company in the Moscow region caught fire.
