The Air Force disclosed how many Russian missiles attacked Ukraine during the night

On the night of 19 August, Russia attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, 65 strike drones of the Shahed type, «Gerbera», swarming munitions «Bandroll» and decoy drones of the type «Parody». This is reported by Glavkom citing the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft forces, EW units, and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, the air defense shot down/overcame 56 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, «Gerbera» and drones of other types, as well as two swarming munitions «Bandroll» in the north, south, and east of the country.

There were recorded hits of Russian air attack weapons at 10 locations, as well as the fall of wreckage at three locations.

Earlier Ukraine did not report the number of missiles launched by Russia during the attacks. This reporting format was introduced as a security measure to prevent giving the enemy data for planning future strikes.

As a reminder, on the night of 19 August, the Russian occupier army attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. As a result of the enemy drone attack, one person died and six were injured. In the morning, a Russian guided air bomb demolished a private house in one of Zaporizhzhia’s districts.

Additionally, on the night of 19 August, Russian terrorists delivered four strikes with guided aviation bombs (GAB) onto the territory of the Izium urban territorial community in Kharkiv region.
