In the Zaporizhzhia region two people were killed and another ten were wounded as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov. “In total, during the day the occupiers carried out 1019 strikes on 52 populated areas of Zaporizhzhia region,” he wrote. According to Fedorov, 192 reports were received about damage to housing, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. As the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported, one person was killed in Zaporizhzhia as a result of strikes by Russian UAVs. “On the night of 19 August Russian forces carried out drone strikes on the regional center. As a result of a hit a man was killed and seven more people were injured. All victims are receiving necessary assistance. At one address a fire broke out on the second floor of a hostel over an area of 50 sq. m. Rescuers extricated the body of the deceased from the rubble. At another address a fire occurred in a furniture store over an area of 100 sq. m. At yet another address glazing and the roof of a two-story apartment building were damaged,” the report says. In Dnipropetrovsk region the enemy attacked two districts of the region more than 10 times with drones and artillery. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha. “In Nikopol district they targeted Nikopol and the Marhanets community. A store caught fire, an administrative building was damaged. In the Zelenodolsk community of Kryvyi Rih district a private house was damaged. No one was injured,” the statement says.
