Map of GTA 6 turned out to be far larger than Los Santos – details of a major leak

The network was rocked by a massive leak of materials from Grand Theft Auto 6. Among other things, the focus for the first time fell on a complete map of the fictional state of Leonid.

New information reveals the structure and incredible scale of the GTA 6 world, which far exceeds the territory of previous games in the series, reports 24 Channel.

Geography of the new state

According to the published images, the game world covers the entire state of Leonid, including the iconic Vice City and neighboring counties.

The map structure resembles the layout of Grand Theft Auto 5, but with much greater detail and a variety of landscapes. The state includes five main districts: Lamox, Kelly, Leonard, Mariana, and Vice Dale. The latter, together with Vice City itself, occupies a vast area.

In the south lie the Leonid-Strats islands, which are the game's analogue of Florida Keys, as well as the Dalton, Tequesta-Ritrít, and Katelan Bay. In the north, players will find dense forests and impassable swamps, adding a wild atmosphere to the game.

Although exact kilometer dimensions have not yet been announced, fans are already comparing this map with GTA 5 and the scale of the upgrade is impressive.

Clearly, traveling from one end of the state to the other will take a lot of game time, especially considering the complex road system and numerous points of interest scattered across the territory.

According to the massive leak, which also revealed new GTA 6 mechanics, the leak was carried out by a hacker under the nickname Cyberleek, who is testing against the format of physical distribution of the game without discs.

More official details about the game from Rockstar themselves are expected in 27 August 2026, during a presentation on the Netflix platform.
