Moseichuk, Tkachenko and Horbunov want to put up bail for Kolomoisky

Former Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko and television hosts Nataliya Moseichuk, Alla Mazur and Yuriy Horbunov want to put businessman Ihor Kolomoisky up on bail.

One of the lawyers stated at a hearing in the Kyiv Court of Appeal during consideration of the complaint against Kolomoisky’s arrest that several people were ready to put Kolomoisky up on bail.

The lawyer reported that there are 15 statements of readiness to put Kolomoisky up on bail, in particular from Yuriy Horbunov, Oleksandr Tkachenko, Serhiy Popov, Alla Mazur, Oleksandr Zahorodnyi.

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for businessman Ihor Kolomoisky — detention for 60 days until 31 October with the possibility of bail of more than 509 million UAH. If bail is posted for Kolomoisky, he will be required to appear at the investigators’ request, surrender his passports (the internal and the international passport of a citizen of Ukraine), and so on.

Lawyer Lysak stated that the defense will appeal the court’s decision.

Ihor Kolomoisky has been notified of several suspicions. In particular, law enforcement established that the suspect in 2013–2020 years legalized more than half a billion hryvnias by transferring them abroad, while using the infrastructure of controlled banking institutions. The suspicion was under articles 190 and 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — fraud and legalization of property obtained by criminal means.

Kolomoisky also received suspicion on three articles in a case about the illegal appropriation of 5,8 billion UAH during the period from 2013 to 2014 years. For this, the suspect, according to law enforcement, created a criminal group that consisted of employees of the bank in which he was a founder and shareholder.

In one of the episodes the court set bail for Kolomoisky at almost 4 billion UAH.
