"Amendment terrorism" in Kolomoisky's favor is being carried out by Servant of the People members, but they are not punished, — lawmaker

Changes to the Verkhovna Rada's rules were needed because representatives of the ruling faction Servant of the People blocked consideration of the "anti-Kolomoisky" law using amendments, yet they are not punished in any way. This was stated on the air of hromadske by people's deputy from the Holos faction Yaroslav Yurchyshyn.

"Who is to blame for the legislative spam? Who submitted the largest number of amendments to the 'anti-Kolomoisky' law? Servant of the People members or those whom the Servant of the People brought in — Anton Polyakov, who was expelled from the faction but entered parliament as a Servant of the People. No disciplinary decision has been made regarding Mr. Dubinsky, regarding Vasylyevska-Smaglyuk. They remain members of the Servant of the People faction," he said. The deputy recalled that Pavlo Frolov, the author of the procedural changes, called his colleagues' actions 'amendment terrorism.' "But those who are 'terrorists' do not answer for it: they are not expelled from the faction, they are not publicly denounced, and instead the right of all deputies to effectively influence the quality of the law is taken away," Yurchyshyn emphasized.

The Holos faction did not support adopting the changes to the rules and considers them a violation of deputies' rights. At the same time, the faction will not vote for resolutions by which deputies (including Servant of the People member Dubinsky and ex-Servant Polyakov) propose to cancel the new rules. "We are not playing with people who represent not national interests but the interests of a specific oligarch, Ihor Kolomoisky. For them, delaying every week brings the country closer to default," Yurchyshyn stressed.

He also noted that these are games by the parliamentary majority itself. "Do you see the absurdity of the situation? Representatives of the majority block an imperfect law of the majority so that the majority cannot consider an important law for the state. This is a problem of poor personnel selection by the party that essentially won on the image of one person," the lawmaker believes. Yurchyshyn calls the actions of Dubinsky, Vasylyevska-Smaglyuk, Polyakov and other deputies who block the 'anti-Kolomoisky' law unprecedentedly cynical.

"There have always been influence groups within majority parties, there were people who protested specific actions, but to so openly express total dependence on one oligarch and to receive absolutely no reaction from one's own party, which supposedly set out to fight the oligarchs, is very cynical," he concluded.
