An entrepreneur engaged in agribusiness and construction in the Chernihiv region. People's Deputy of the IX convocation from "Servant of the People" for the majoritarian electoral district No. 206 (part of Novozavodskyi district of Chernihiv, Ripky and Chernihiv districts), non-partisan. He was the most active among the majoritarian deputies from "Servant of the People" in his district.

Died under unclear circumstances at the age of 33; Temporary Investigative Commission continues to investigate the death

On October 8, 2021, Polyakov died in Kyiv — officially due to poisoning; the circumstances of death have not been established. The Verkhovna Rada created a Temporary Investigative Commission; on July 27, 2022, its work was extended for another 6 months. The police maintain two active versions regarding the death. Deputy Skorokhod publicly did not rule out the involvement of her former assistant Dzhambulatov in the colleague's death. The pre-trial investigation is officially ongoing; results have not been publicly disclosed.
