Goncharuk will leave, but not alone: media learned who plans to dismiss from the Cabinet of Ministers

Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk, with a high probability, will already on Wednesday, 4 March, resign. Part of his Cabinet of Ministers will be reformatted, and about half of the ministers will be fired.

This was stated to Obszoveryatel by several sources in the factions of “Servant of the People” and “Voice.” A source of the publication in the ruling majority stressed that the prime minister is “driving a car” and waits for the evening meeting of the faction, which is planned for 19:00, 3 March. At the same time, his statement is already on the table of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Goncharuk was unable to hold his position and will be forced, under pressure from the Office of the President, to voluntarily leave the post. At the same time, sources in the two factions synchronously claim that Denis Shmyhal will be the prime minister. At this stage he is a compromise figure and under him they may find votes in the Verkhovna Rada.

It is also known that the position of the head of the Ministry of Finance, Oksana Markarova, will be lost. “She is already preparing to leave, the question of her resignation is resolved. Her place may be taken by Ihor Umansky,” explained one of the people's deputies.

The posts of Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska, Minister of Education Anna Novosad, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov (he is, however, being groomed for the position of deputy prime minister for defense issues), Minister of Economic Development Tymofiy Milovanov (Vladimir Zelensky personally approves his work).

As written in his Telegram channel, a deputy from "Servant of the People" Oleksandr Dubinsky states that the head of the State Customs Service Maksym Nefyodov will also lose his post.

Vacant are the posts of other ministries — Health, Veterans Affairs, Regional Development, and Social Policy (the head of the Committee on Social Policy Galina Tretyakova was proposed for this post, but she refused).

A new minister for the temporarily occupied territories may become Oleksiy Reznikov. Will ministers Dmytro Dybilet and Mykhailo Fedorov lose their portfolios is not yet known.

The final decision will be made after 19:00 3 March, when President Volodymyr Zelensky personally arrives at the closed meeting of the Servant of the People faction.
