Dubinsky: new prime minister will replace the head of the Ministry of Finance and the head of Customs

The new prime minister of Ukraine will be the current vice prime minister — Minister for Communities and Territories Development Denis Shmyhal, said Member of Parliament Oleksandr Dubinsky on his Telegram channel (and he confirmed that Oleksiy Honcharuk has submitted his resignation).

This was reported today on Dubinsky’s website.

He immediately clarified the names of ministers who will be kept from the old cabinet:

Ministry of Economy — Tymofiy Mylovanov;

Ministry of Justice — Denys Maliuska;

Ministry of Education — Hanna Novosad;

Ministry of Internal Affairs — Arsen Avakov.

At the same time, Finance Minister Oksana Markarova will be dismissed.

According to Dubinsky, she will be replaced by Ihor Umansky, who has already worked in the Ministry of Finance twice in different positions.

Following Markarova, they will also ask for the resignation of the head of the State Customs Service, Maksym Nefyodov, who chronically fails to meet the Customs Service’s revenue targets for the state budget.

He slipped up again based on the February results 2020. The shortfall amounted to as much as 21,7%, and customs transferred only 22,6 billion hryvnias to the state budget.
