An expert named the real reasons for the IMF tranche postponement

Among the reasons for the postponement of the IMF tranche of 1 billion dollars are internal political conflicts within the Ukrainian authorities.

This was reported by economic expert Andriy Novak.

First of all, he said, there is the arrest of the head of the SFS, Roman Nasirov. Then the situation with the appointment of the auditor of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, as well as fluctuations in the coalition, from which deputies leave almost every session week.

In addition, he said, the annual report of Volodymyr Groysman’s government is due in April, as a result of which the Cabinet’s work could be declared unsatisfactory. That could be grounds for resignation. The IMF, Novak emphasizes, wants to understand to whom it is giving the money. Therefore the loan provision could be postponed until after the government’s annual report.
