Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan at a Cabinet meeting handed to Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman the facts of corrupt activity at Ukrzaliznytsia that are available in the ministry and urged “to put them in their place” the MPs from the BPP who are robbing the state. It concerns the Dubnevych brothers, who, according to the minister, have a conflict of business interests and, instead of legislative work, are engaged in business. It should be noted that Yaroslav Dubnevych chairs the Parliament’s Transport Committee. On air on 112 channel Omelyan urged to properly conduct pre-trial investigations of criminal cases against the Dubnevych brothers and bring them to justice. “I believe that if we restore order at Ukrzaliznytsia, we will restore order in the country. If we put the MPs who, having a clear conflict of business interests, are not engaged in work but in business schemes... first of all, I have fairly strong suspicions to state that this is the head of the Transport Committee (of the parliament) Dubnevych. I know that a list of criminal proceedings has been opened in a number of law enforcement bodies that are investigating his activities, which largely are incompatible with parliamentary work. I hope this will be brought to a logical judicial review with the corresponding court decisions and rulings,” Omelyan said. Earlier, National Anti-Corruption Bureau director Artem Sitnik stated that the investigation of violations of the law at PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia is handled by almost a whole unit of NABU detectives. However, no suspicions have yet been filed against either of the Dubnevych brothers. By the way, the Dubnevych brothers are among the top wealthiest officials, occupying 2-th and 3-th places after the President. The two Dubnevych brothers together hold about 20 million dollars in cash and more than 700 real estate objects. In addition, the Dubnevych brothers are suspected of embezzling gas allocated to the population amounting to more than 1 billion UAH.
