Rozetka has removed TM YARO products from sale over the owner's anti-Ukrainian joke.

The largest Ukrainian marketplace Rozetka.ua pulled from sale goods of the YARO brand after the owner of the famous candy brand became embroiled in a scandal due to her anti-Ukrainian remarks.

Activist Serhiy Sternenko reported this on his Facebook page.

Earlier Sternenko said that Privalova, who is the sister-in-law of the late Kharkiv mayor Hennadiy Kernes and the owner of a well-known candy brand, on her photo against the backdrop of the Kremlin, which she circulated on social networks, wrote an anti-Ukrainian joke.

"Kernes's daughter-in-law, sister of a Socialist Party deputy Kozak, and daughter of the city mayor of Sokyriany. She hates Ukraine and loves the occupiers. She posted a photo from Moscow with an anti-Ukrainian joke," Sternenko wrote and published a screenshot from Privalova's Instagram page.

A few days ago Privalova published an Instagram photo in which she poses in Moscow against the Kremlin with her husband. In one of the comments, she was reminded that posting such photos is inappropriate, to which she responded with a joke about the "Banderaites," one of whom had soiled his pants "to spite Russia."

Sternenko urged well-known Ukrainian retail chains to stop cooperating with Privalova and not to trade her products.

Today, according to Sternenko, Ukrainian companies began reacting to the scandal.

"I urged well-known companies to distance themselves from her, and here is the first small victory! Even yesterday Rozetka sold 56 YARO items, and almost all of them were in stock, but today most of the products have been removed, and for all 20 that still appear in search, there is a note 'not for sale.' This is the only correct decision that can be made in such a situation," he wrote.

The activist also noted that Privalova did not apologize for her words and actions, but only posted a generic reply saying "you are all fools."

"Very glad that Rozetka has the right position, and I will continue buying from them. But Silpo, Glovo, Allo, and several other companies are still silent. I hope they will respond as well. Please questions on their pages about cooperation with anti-Ukrainian Julia Privalova," Sternenko said.

According to the Center for Combating Corruption (CEC) project, Julia Privalova is the daughter of the former head of Sokyryany District Council in Bukovina, the former head of Sokyryany District State Administration, and the current mayor of Sokyryany, Vasyl Kozak; the sister of MP from "Servant of the People" Volodymyr Kozak, and the wife of the son of the former Kharkiv mayor Gennadiy Kernes, Daniil Privalova.
