Protesters Drew a Pig on Honcharova's Estate

Protesters painted a pig on the Goncharova estate.

Morning of 6 April, activists from the National Corps arrived at the house of the head of the National Bank, Valeriya Goncharova.

As stated in a post by the National Corps on Facebook, the activists are protesting the government's decision to provide protection to Russian financial institutions.

"Despite the blockade by the National Corps for three months of banks of the aggressor country, which funds the war in eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian authorities have made a decision that goes against the people's interests — to provide protection to Russian financial institutions," the protesters claim.

The activists painted a pig on Goncharova's house fence "as a sign of the piggishness that Goncharova exhibits toward her country."

The protesters claim that after some time the head of the NBU came out to them and said that she allegedly "is going to write a resignation letter."

In the video, Goncharova states that her task is to write a resignation letter, but the question of the resignation itself concerns the Verkhovna Rada.

"This is a question for the Rada and the President of Ukraine. I do not know. I write a resignation letter, and I do not appoint anyone," Goncharova said.

To remind, 3 in April, a member of parliament from the BPP, Iryna Luzenko, allegedly stated that the head of the NBU, Valery Goncharova, wrote a resignation letter. Later she herself refuted this information.
