People’s deputies from the Party of Regions Dmitry Sviyatosh and Vasily Polyakov are to give the UkrSibBank 100 million dollars. This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by Alexander Yaroslavsky, who added that he is not involved in the raider attack on the AIS group. Yaroslavsky noted: “I have been in business for more than 20 years. And I have never been involved in, nor will I be involved in, any dirty story. I have no reason to change my position in 53 years. As for AIS, I don’t need any of their assets. AIS should give UkrSibBank more than 100 million dollars. They have debts to a banking consortium as well. This includes “Alfa-Bank,” “VTB Bank.” In total this is about 200 million dollars.” The businessman informed that the collateral belongs to UkrSibBank. “And they (Polyakov and Sviyatosh) put these assets up as collateral in other banks, for example in Alfa,” said Yaroslavsky. In this regard, he turned to the Russian leadership of Alfa-Bank. “I asked that we be completely correct. So that it doesn’t happen that the Ukrainian subsidiary of Alfa-Bank is effectively buying stolen goods. Because these collateral, these assets were effectively stolen from UkrSibBank. Everything can be checked by documents. I am sure colleagues from Moscow understand me and will admonish their Ukrainian representatives,” said the owner of DCH. When asked how accurate the recent statements by Sviyatosh and Polyakov about their exit from business were, Yaroslavsky answered with questions: “Polyakov and Sviyatosh need to decide — are they deputies or businessmen? Do they receive only a deputy salary or do they live off their business? It’s unclear — it seems all their companies have been handed over to management, yet they continue to run them.” The businessman also called a fake a politically oriented quote published by some portals with reference to his name. In particular, several resources attributed to Yaroslavsky the following quote: “I would give both arms to release Tymoshenko for speeding up Ukraine’s European integration.” Yaroslavsky answered briefly: “For 20 years I did not give any political interviews or comments at all. And suddenly in 53 year I went crazy and began giving such interviews. I am a businessman, and my final product is money. That says everything.” He has no intention of suing journalists. “I’m not even going to deal with this nonsense. Everyone knows me well, and knows my attitude toward political issues. This is not my field of activity, I do not influence anything there and I do not intend to engage in it. My field of activity is business, I am focused on it, and I will continue to work on it. Such fakes are foolish. And I would look even more foolish if I answered every foolish question,” he noted. Earlier AIS press service released a statement that the business structure DCH of Alexander Yaroslavsky is conducting a raider attack to gain control over the AIS group of companies.
