Defenders struck a Russian radar and the site where unmanned naval boats are launched in Crimea – Center for Journalistic Investigations

The Ukrainian Defense Forces overnight on 23 August struck a radar station and the site where Russian unmanned naval boats are stored and launched in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«22 August and overnight on 23 August, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted damage on a number of military targets of the enemy», the report says.

In particular, the launch and storage site for unmanned naval boats (MBek), as well as a ground relay for controlling attack drones of the Geran/Harber type in the Black Sea region on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, were hit.

Also struck were the radar station “ST-68” in Yevpatoria and ammunition depots of the enemy in Dzhankoy (Crimea) and Chaiki in Belgorod region (Russia).

Among other targets, Russian repair units in the areas of Dzhankoy (Crimea) and the temporarily captured Kadievka in Luhansk region were hit.

The extent of the damage and the results of the strikes are being clarified.

Operations against key Russian military targets continue.

It is confirmed that 20 August 2026, as a result of striking the Saaki airfield (Novofedorivka, occupied AR Crimea), the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Su-24M aircraft and four units of airfield maintenance equipment of the enemy.
