Zelenskyy conferred new general ranks on officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, SBU, National Guard, police, and State Emergency Service

Zelensky awarded new general officer ranks to officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SBU, the National Guard, the police, and the State Emergency Service

President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded new military and special ranks to a number of officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SBU, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, and other security forces.

The rank of brigadier general was conferred on Oleh Honcharuk, the Chief of the Staff of the Operational Command “South”; Valerii Skred, commander of the 19-th Army Corps; Mark Andrusyak, Director of the Ministry of Defense’s Department of Personnel Policy; Oleksiy Khalabuda, Chief of Staff of the Unmanned Auxiliary Forces; and Valeriy Novak, Director of the State Special Communications Agency.

Also made brigadier generals were Serhiy Hunykovskyi, Head of the SBU’s Counterintelligence Department; Oleksandr Pikhota, a representative of the SBU; and Rostyslav SivoVol, head of the Internal Security and Own Security Department of the State Border Guard Service.

First Deputy Commander of the National Guard Vadym Hladkov was awarded the rank of Major General.

In separate decrees, the president awarded special general officer ranks to officers of the National Police and the State Emergency Service. In particular, the ranks of Police General of the Third Rank were conferred on Borys Vezhnavets, Oleksandr Kovtun, and Oleksandr Morgunov.

To Sergei Dishkant, head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kyiv region, was conferred the rank of Major General of Civil Defense Service, and to Vitaliy Myronyuk, First Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service, the rank of Lieutenant General of Civil Defense Service.
