For Nalyvaichenko’s dismissal deputies were offered $500 000 each – Parasiuk

President Poroshenko’s team spent several days persuading deputies to vote for the dismissal of SBU chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.

Deputies were allegedly offered 500 thousand dollars each for a “proper vote.” This was reported on social media by Member of Parliament Volodymyr Parasiuk.

“I really hope my information is not confirmed, but there is one more fact: today in the session hall information was actively circulating that for Nalyvaichenko’s dismissal they are giving 500 000$ each. I don’t know whether this is true or not, but I heard about it from 4 deputies. So anything is possible, given his ‘experience’ in such matters,” Parasiuk wrote.

Parasiuk’s information is also confirmed by independent MP Vitaliy Kupriy. On his social media page he wrote:

“Among deputies there is discussion about the size of the bribes being offered from the Presidential Administration for the vote intended to help Poroshenko usurp power in the country. Amounts currently reach 500 thousand dollars!”, Kupriy emphasized.

The MP noted the particular cynicism of current Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko and members of the UDAR party, who yesterday resisted Poroshenko’s pressure but today agreed to ‘sacrifice their colleague in exchange for the position of Kyiv city prosecutor and to prevent holding mayoral elections in 2 rounds.’ Kupriy is convinced that this proposal is also advantageous to Self Reliance, which, like BYuT, would gain certain privileges: they would get the opportunity ‘to resell ministerial portfolios and avoid responsibility for corrupt schemes.’
