Former Head of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine Shevchenko Left for Montenegro but Still Controls “B.M.K.-Building” and River Side Plots

Kyrylo Shevchenko, who left for Montenegro, still unlawfully controls land plots and the company LLC “B.M.K.-Building,” which he wrongfully seized in 2020 using forged documents.

LLC “B.M.K.-Building” was created to implement the River Side project on the banks of the Desna River in the territory of Khotianivka Village Council, Vyshhorod district, with involvement of foreign investors from Switzerland. Shevchenko made efforts to appropriate these investments. This was reported by former Vice President of the Kyiv City Boxing Federation, Vice President of the NGO “Integrum,” and board member of the NGO “Protection and Assistance,” Volodymyr Mikulenko.

According to Mikulenko, in 2019 Shevchenko, together with Rostyslav Hrekul, formed an organized criminal group whose goal was to seize River Side, which at that time belonged to a group of Swiss investors and to Mikulenko himself, V.O.

The precondition for that takeover was another fraud that Shevchenko carried out together with foreign citizen Maor Hemmo. For several years they received funds from Swiss investors, including Marc Rich Real Estate, into the bank accounts of the Cyprus company G.L.U. LIMITED purportedly to finance the project, and appropriated them. In total, about 40 million dollars were siphoned off.

In his activities, Shevchenko often covers himself with the name of Kyiv’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, with whom he allegedly maintains friendly relations. Earlier there was information that Shevchenko “protected” illegal trade in underground passages and carried out a raider takeover of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine. Mikulenko, despite complaints from foreign investors, including about intimidation of their representative in Kyiv, believes these rumors were most likely spread by Shevchenko himself to enhance his standing and discredit the Kyiv mayor.

Mikulenko notes that in 2019 Shevchenko, together with accomplices — Rostyslav Hrekul, Dmytro Karauchenko, Vitalii Kulyk, and others — devised a scheme to illegally seize the assets of River Side: companies, land, funds, and electricity capacity.

In January 2020 Shevchenko, through Vitalii Kulyk acting on behalf of the director of LLC “River Garden,” carried out a raider seizure of the right to electric capacity of 2,5 MW that belonged to LLC “B.M.K.-Building.” For this, Kulyk used forged extracts from the state registry and documents with a falsified signature of Volodymyr Mikulenko, and later unlawfully registered the right to this capacity in the name of LLC “River Garden.”

Then Kyrylo Shevchenko, together with Rostyslav Hrekul, appropriated land plots on the banks of the Desna near the settlement of Osechyna, where a cottage town was to be built. In November 2020 Shevchenko K.V., Kulyk V.O., Smertenko S.Ya., together with other members of the organized criminal group, using forged documents of notary KMNO Kaplun Y.V., unlawfully seized corporate rights of LLC “Prozrinia.”

At that time Shevchenko, with the involvement of other persons, embezzled a land plot of 1,96 ha that belonged to LLC “Vyshhorod Invest Plus.” Using his official position and without the consent of the company participant Mikulenko V.O., he obtained over 1,5 million dollars in cash, causing the company and Mikulenko V.O. damage on an especially large scale.

In December Shevchenko and Hrekul (through a close relative and other related persons) by means of forged documents unlawfully and without compensation acquired ownership of land plots totaling 36,05 ha that belonged to LLC “B.M.K.-Building” and LLC “Prozrinia.” After that, together with notary KMNO Ihnatov D.V., using a forged power of attorney from the already liquidated Cyprus company KONOFIX LIMITED (which had conferred no authority), they carried out a raider takeover of the management of LLC “River Holding” and LLC “B.M.K.-Building.”
