The “Midas” Case: Court Left Galushchenko’s Former Advisor in Custody

The Appeals Chamber of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court kept the suspect in the “Midas” case, Ihor Myroniuk (also known as Rocket), in custody with a bail of 85 million hryvnias. This is reported by Glavkom, citing the Center for Combating Corruption.

It is noted that during the appeal, the defense asked to cancel or at least soften the preventive measure, arguing that Myroniuk has already been in custody for 10 months. The prosecutor stressed reviewing the suspect’s financial status valuation, which the investigator judge allegedly did not take into account.

As is known, 10 November 2025 year, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, within the investigation of corruption schemes in the energy sector (operation “Midas”), announced suspicions against seven individuals. Among them:

Timur Mindich – businessman and co-founder of the studio “Kvartal-95” (appears on NABU recordings under the codename Karlson),

Ihor Myroniuk (Rocket) – former adviser to the Minister of Energy,

Dmytro Basov (Tenor) – Chief Security Officer of the company Energoatom.

And also four representatives of the so-called back office for money legalization:

Oleksandr Tsukerman (Sugarman),

Ihor Fursenko (Ryoshik),

Lesia Ustymenko,

Lyudmyla Zorina.

By the way, in June 2026 year, the investigative judge of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the request of the SAP on extending the detention of suspect in the “Midas” case Ihor Myroniuk (Rocket) but set an alternative bail of 85 million hryvnias.
