The wife of an OGP official Gevorkyan bought a Skoda for 902 thousand hryvnias and declared 2,2 million from the sale of real estate

In 2025 the year, the wife of the head of a department of the Office of the Prosecutor General (OGP), Ashot Gevorkyan, purchased a Skoda Karoq for 902 thousand UAH, sold a Mazda 3 for 1,1 million UAH, and declared an additional 2,2 million UAH in income from the sale of real estate. At the same time, the official’s family retains significant cash savings – 77 thousand USD, 15 thousand EUR, and 100 thousand UAH, and the declaration itself does not specify which real estate object was sold for 2,2 million UAH.

This is stated in Gevorkyan’s official annual declaration for 2025, which was analyzed by OBOZ.UA. The document was submitted to NACP (National Agency on Corruption Prevention) on 9 April 2026.

Which car did the prosecutor’s wife buy

One of the most noticeable changes in the family’s assets was the purchase of a new car. In June 2025, Gevorkyan’s wife Alina Gevorkyan became the owner of a Skoda Karoq, model year 2022. The declaration lists the purchase price of the car as 902 thousand hryvnias.

The purchase took place against the backdrop of the sale of the family’s previous vehicle — a Mazda 3 2014 model year. According to the declaration, the car was sold for 1,1 million hryvnias. The document also notes that in 2022 the car was purchased for 400 thousand hryvnias. Thus, formally the declared sale price of the Mazda turned out to be almost 2,8 times higher than the price at which it was bought several years earlier.

A separate question in the declaration is the real estate transaction. In 2025 the year, the official’s wife received 2,2 million hryvnias from the sale of immovable property. However, the document does not specify which particular object was divested.

This draws attention because among the real estate listed under Gevorkyan’s wife is an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 62 sq. m, purchased before the full-scale invasion. According to the declaration, this apartment was bought for 2 million hryvnias.

Thus an obvious question arises: if the apartment remained in ownership, then which object was sold in 2025 for 2,2 million hryvnias? In the declaration this transaction is recorded as income from the disposal of real estate, but the specific sold object is not identified in the provided data.

How much did Ashot Gevorkyan himself earn

The main source of Gevorkyan’s own income in 2025 was his work at the Office of the Prosecutor General. For the year he received about 1,6 million hryvnias in salary.

His wife’s income was significantly smaller. In particular, she declared about 164 thousand hryvnias from entrepreneurial activity, 57 thousand hryvnias in salary, and 150 thousand hryvnias as a gift.

A separate source of funds for the family was the liquidation of assets – the sale of a car and real estate. According to the declaration, the wife sold the Mazda for 1,1 million hryvnias, and received another 2,2 million hryvnias from real estate.

Another detail of the declaration is the family’s cash holdings. Gevorkyan and his wife indicated that they keep 77 thousand USD and 15 thousand EUR in cash, as well as about 100 thousand UAH. In addition, the family’s funds are held in bank accounts.

The car that Gevorkyan himself uses

The declaration separately lists the car used by the head of the OGP department himself. It is a Skoda Kodiaq, model year 2022. The car belongs to Svitlana Dolhoruk, and Gevorkyan has been using it since 2023.

The declaration indicates the right to use the car, while ownership remains with another person. Property questions regarding the official’s family have arisen before. In June 2026 journalists from MEZHI and other media analyzed assets that members of Gevorkyan’s family acquired in previous years.

The publications discussed, in particular, the wife’s apartment in Kyiv, several real estate objects registered to the official’s mother, as well as cars. Journalists also drew attention to the difference between the prices listed in declarations and the market value of similar cars or properties.

Gevorkyan’s position and the “Carthage” case

Ashot Gevorkyan heads a department of the Office of the Prosecutor General that is responsible for oversight of bodies combating organized crime and dealing with investment protection.

His career advancement has also been the subject of separate journalistic pieces. In particular, it was reported that after Ruslan Kravchenko was appointed to a leadership position in the OGP, Gevorkyan moved from the post of division chief to department head. Gevorkyan’s name is also mentioned in public materials related to the NABU “Carthage” case, which concerns the investigation of possible activities of an organized group and alleged “protection” of call centers.
