"The Envelope Case": court denied 'Servant of the People' MP Savchenko permission to travel abroad

The High Anti-Corruption Court denied permission for MP Olha Savchenko to travel abroad; she is a suspect in a case about bribes for necessary votes in the Verkhovna Rada.

This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Center "MEZHA."

She requested permission to travel 8 September to the Czech Republic "to participate in the specified official events." The court refused because such permissions must be granted by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau or prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The defense also did not provide evidence that it first applied to them for permission.

1 January 2026 year Savchenko was chosen a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 16,6 million UAH 8 January it was paid by one of the MP's lawyers — Ihor Fomin.

Savchenko must

wear an electronic bracelet;

appear at every request of an investigator, prosecutor, or court;

not leave the populated place where she resides without the permission of an investigator, prosecutor, or court;

notify the investigator, prosecutor, or court about a change of her place of residence and/or work;

refrain from communicating with other suspects in the proceedings;

hand over her passport(s) for traveling abroad and other documents that grant the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine to the relevant state authorities for safekeeping.

Recall that 27 December 2025 year NABU and SAP reported that they had exposed a group of deputies who systematically received bribes ranging from 2 to 20 thousand dollars for voting in the Verkhovna Rada.
