Land at Ski Resort for 583 UAH
In 2024, his wife Viktoriya Laba became owner of two plots of land in Pylypets, Khust district — a well-known ski resort — with a total area of 1,600 sq. m for 583 UAH. The deputy himself drives a 1993 Tavria and a 1979 RAF bus. However, his wife, who officially does not work, purchased a 2022 Audi E-tron 55 for 1.035 million UAH. There is also a 226.7 sq. m house.
NABU Suspicion and "Loud Media Coverage"
On December 29, 2025, NABU announced suspicion against Laba for systematic acceptance of illegal benefits in exchange for voting — the fifth suspect in the "envelopes" case. The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure — bail of 20 million UAH. He was released on bail and continued attending the Parliament. Laba called the suspicion a "loud media coverage without facts." Earlier, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention had filed protocols against him for voting on a bonus for his own son.
Destruction of NABU and Legalization of Wind Turbines in the Carpathians
In July 2025 — five months before the suspicion — he voted for the liquidation of the independence of NABU and SAP. In October, he voted for the effective legalization of wind turbine construction in the highlands of the Carpathians.
