Terrorists Must Be Stopped. Billionaire Pinchuk Addressed American Partners at the YES-2026 Conference – Suspicions

In his opening remarks, the conference founder explained its this year’s slogan: “Peace through strength now.”

Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Viktor Pinchuk opened the annual "Yalta European Strategy" conference with a message to the American delegation, drawing a direct parallel between the September attacks 11 and Russia’s modern war crimes, according to a correspondent for Glavkom.

YES founder reminded that the forum’s opening coincided with 25 - the anniversary of a tragedy in the United States. “No one will ever forget the footage of the twin towers. Today in Ukraine we have hundreds, if not thousands, of such epicenters of destruction. All the buildings there differed from the skyscrapers in New York, but the consequences look the same. The terrorists must be stopped,” Pinchuk emphasized.

The businessman also addressed the central theme of this year’s event – “Peace through strength now.” Referring to the history of the concept of “peace through strength,” which is incorrectly attributed to Donald Trump or Ronald Reagan, the patron noted that the author of the expression was Neville Chamberlain—a politician whose attempt to appease the aggressor ended in failure due to the absence of real power behind loud words.

According to the businessman, Ukraine, Europe, and the United States must move to immediate decisive actions, taking advantage of the turning point on the front. “We have a unique chance to act thanks to the resilience of Ukrainians and the help of Western partners. In Russia, military airfields are burning, missile plants are being destroyed, fuel shortages are felt. The defense forces are neutralizing more occupiers than the Kremlin can mobilize, and they are recapturing occupied lands,” Pinchuk summed up, urging allies to strengthen support now to the maximum.

For reference, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that if the war continues into winter Kyiv expects an additional aid package from the United States.

Canada will help Ukraine get through a difficult winter and will continue supporting the country. Canada has approved a new aid package for air defense.

Earlier it became known that Ukraine proposed to partners a mechanism that would allow quickly obtaining 300 interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems, without waiting for future deliveries from manufacturers. Kyiv is asking allies to transfer missiles from available stocks in exchange for newer interceptors that will arrive under already signed contracts.
