demanded $72 thousand bribes: Kravchenko published new accusations against the head of NABU

UNIAN, photo UNIAN, NABU Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko released the second part of a video in which he accused the head of NABU Serhiy Kryvonos of demanding a bribe when he worked in the Obukhiv Department of Justice.

The video states that Kryvonos in 2014 year joined a criminal conspiracy with the then head of Starobedrichivska Village Council of Obukhiv district, Kyiv region. They, together with accomplices, demanded a bribe of $72 000 for the allocation of a land plot of area 0,25 hectares in the village of Tarasivka, Obukhiv district.

It is noted that the citizen from whom the bribe was demanded contacted law enforcement and began cooperating with them to expose the criminal group. According to the plan, the land plot was to be allocated to a fictitious person on a gratuitous basis. After that, this person was supposed to sell the plot to the citizen who needed it.

In addition, to reduce taxation, the group tried to artificially decrease the value of the land plot. The video notes that in the end the procedure was not completed, because the criminal group learned about their exposure.

Against this background, Kravchenko stated that Kryvonos is suspected of asking for a bribe in an especially large amount. As well as organizing and issuing a falsified official document by a valuer.

What preceded this

Recall that in the morning of 14 September Kravchenko stated that he signed a notice of suspicion against the head of NABU and a person close to the head of SAP. Later it became known that the acting Prosecutor General left Ukraine. He said this himself, adding that he is on a "foreign assignment."

In the first part of the video Kravchenko stated that the head of NABU Kryvonos allegedly attempted to buy votes among students during elections in 2008 year. According to Kravchenko, Kryvonos was exposed then, but he adopted a fictitious adoption of a child to avoid responsibility.

It should be noted that heads of NABU and SAP 14 September gave a press conference, at which they stated that they had not received any suspicion from the General Prosecutor's Office. The NABU director also stated that Kravchenko resorted to an incomprehensible invention - an "informational Telegram-suspicion".
