VAKS extended Yermak’s procedural obligations but lifted electronic bracelet requirement due to health risk

Wearing the bracelet, the lawyers noted, poses a risk to the former head of the Office’s health.

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended for 60 days the duration of the procedural obligations imposed on the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, who is a suspect in a criminal proceeding.

This was reported by the VAKS press service.

The investigating judge partially granted the corresponding motion from a prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

The following obligations remain imposed on the suspect:

to appear at every request of the detective, prosecutor, and court;

to notify the investigator, detective, prosecutor, and court about any change of residence or workplace;

not to leave the limits of previously specified populated localities;

to surrender for safekeeping passports for travel abroad, diplomatic passports, and other documents that grant the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine;

not to communicate with persons specified by the court, including other suspects and witnesses, regarding the circumstances set out in the notice of suspicion.

At the same time, the court did not extend the obligation to wear an electronic monitoring device. VAKS noted that an independent medical specialist concluded that continued wearing of the electronic bracelet could pose a threat to a person’s life and health.

What is known about Yermak’s case?

11 May, NABU announced the notification of suspicion to the former head of the Office of the President under Part 3 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code (legalization (laundering) of property obtained by criminal means, committed by an organized group or on a particularly large scale).

The case concerns the construction of the “Dynastiya” cottage settlement in Kozyn, first reported by Bihus.info journalists as early as July of 2025. Investigators found that Bloom-Development LLC, in which Oleksiy Chernyshov held a share, purchased 4 hectares of land in Kozyn. After Chernyshov became head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, he transferred his share in the company to his wife. In 2020 he headed the Ministry of Communities, and in May this year, according to the investigation, the idea of building “Dynastiya” originated.

Later, information about the cottages called “Dynastiya” appeared on the Mindich tapes — intercepted conversations of the figures in the corruption case at Energoatom. Ukrainska Pravda wrote that Mindich discussed the construction of the cottages with a woman named Nataliya. They discussed mothballing the project — likely the Dynastiya cooperative, the construction of which Chernyshov may have overseen.

They also spoke about the “house of Andriy,” which is already finished, unlike Mindich’s estate. The conversation also mentioned the “house of Vova.”

According to the investigation, Chernyshov formed from controlled persons a team to build “Dynastiya.” In June 2020 Chernyshov involved a figure nicknamed Carlson — Tymur Mindich. Around that time, participant R2 (residence — 2) joined the project — likely Yermak.

In June 2021 construction began and the legalization of funds started, some of which were obtained through a criminal scheme at Energoatom. In July 2025, to avoid exposure of the money‑laundering scheme and due to the notification of suspicion handed to Chernyshov, Mindich decided to mothball the construction.

The day after Yermak, six more people received suspicion in this case, including Chernyshov. Yermak denies the charges.
