Deputy Prosecutor General Maksym Krym is currently performing “administrative functions” at the OGP. Journalists found Russian passports among Krym’s relatives – Center for Investigative Journalism

After the suspension of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko from his post, the corresponding “administrative functions” at the OGP are currently performed by his deputy Maksym Krym.

“In the distribution of duties as deputy prosecutor general, he carries out the relevant administrative functions, except for those powers and procedural decisions that by law are exclusively within the competence of the Prosecutor General,” she said.

According to “Slidstvo.Info,” citing the KibOrg project and Russian databases, Krym’s wife and her parents received Russian passports in April 2014 year — after the beginning of the occupation of Crimea.

Her father Vyacheslav Yushkov and mother Larisa Yushkova received Russian passports 30 April 2014 of year. Both were also registered in Sevastopol.

“It should be noted that after 18 March, Russia launched forced passportization in Crimea and essentially issued its passports to all Crimeans. Those who wanted to keep Ukrainian citizenship had to personally submit a refusal of the Russian passport at designated points of the Migration Service,” the publication states.

As of 2026 year, data about Anna Krym’s Russian passport remain current. At the same time, editors were unable to determine whether she canceled this passport or whether she uses it now.

As journalists found out, in 2014 year Maksym Krym served in the organs of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Crimean region. According to then–Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios, in spring 2014 Krym together with Ruslan Kravchenko destroyed the documents of the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office with oversight in the military sphere and left for mainland Ukraine. Matios told “Babel.”

Anna Krym is a native of Sevastopol. “We obtained information from registers about border crossings. After receiving the Russian passport she continued to travel to Crimea from mainland Ukraine, probably to her parents who remained living in Sevastopol. The last trip was from Armiansk in October 2015 year,” the publication says.

Her father Vyacheslav Yushkov, in his profile on Odnoklassniki in 2016 year, wrote that 30 years he worked at sea, and at the time of the post he was a guard at “Sevteploseti.”

Mother Larisa Yushkova, on social networks, writes about spiritual practices and is interested in related topics in Telegram channels. According to data available to the editors, Larisa Yushkova flew to Russia repeatedly from 2015 to 2021 year.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suspended Ruslan Kravchenko from the post of Prosecutor General. Earlier, the head of state sent to the Verkhovna Rada a proposal for Kravchenko’s dismissal.

As reported, 14 September 2026 Kravchenko said he signed a suspicion of the director of NABU, Semen Kryvonos, for forging official documents to obtain unlawful benefit on a particularly large scale. He also accused NABU and SAP of seizing materials of proceedings against their employees during searches within the framework of the “Carthage” operation to stop procedural decisions in these cases.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kravchenko has only one path — resignation — and called the Verkhovna Rada to promptly support the corresponding decision. Kravchenko himself said he had left Ukraine on a supposedly foreign business trip.

A dismissal request from President Volodymyr Zelensky to dismiss Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. A vote on Kravchenko’s resignation will take place on 15 September.

7 September, Ruslan Kravchenko, against the backdrop of the NABU and SAP investigation within the Carthage operation, submitted a resignation from the post of Prosecutor General.

First Deputy Prosecutor General Maria Vdovychenko wrote a letter of resignation. According to Uapreasy sources, during searches of her, materials were found indicating surveillance of leaders of anti-corruption bodies, their families, and subordinates.
