A device resembling a listening device was found in Sadovyi’s official car

In the service vehicle of the City Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, a device resembling a listening device was found. According to the mayor, the suspicious equipment was discovered after car problems that lasted about a month.

Sadovyi reported the finding on his social networks. He does not yet know who installed the device or for what purpose.

The car inspection was prompted by technical problems. Over the past month, the battery began regularly discharging to zero. In addition, a foreign rattling noise appeared in one part of the vehicle.

During the inspection of the car, an unknown device was found, which Sadovyi described as resembling listening equipment.

The Mayor of Lviv stated that he does not know who installed it. At the same time, he suggested that this could have been done by law enforcement authorities within the framework of an official investigation and by court decision. In that case, Sadovyi offered to take the device away and, if necessary, reinstall it.

"If this is all legal, please set it up again. But if you’re going to do it — [do it] so that the battery does not discharge, because the car must always be in working condition," Sadovyi said.

This is already the second similar case that the mayor of Lviv has publicly spoken about.

In September 2025 year, Sadovyi reported a listening device in his working office. At that time, the suspicion was raised about a radio telephone: about a week before the finding it began to hang up, after which it was sent to specialists for repair.

During disassembly of the phone, specialists found foreign equipment inside its charging block. Inside were a listening device, a memory card, and a SIM card.
