Lviv Mayor Sadoyi Finds Bug Again — This Time in His Car

The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadoviy, has reported a new case of a listening device — this time it was found in a company car. The mayor, who previously reported a listening device in his office, wrote 18 on September. He has already informed law enforcement about the discovery in the car.

Sadoviy said that the device found externally resembles the one previously found on his work telephone. He stressed that he regards public exposure as his protection and that is why he discloses every such finding.

"Another device resembling a listening device was found. This time in a company car. Law enforcement has been informed about the discovery. Publicity and openness are my security, so I am informing you about this as well, the Mayor of Lviv added."

Lastly, the mayor thanked the people of Lviv for the support he received after the first publication about a listening device in his office.

Listening devices are not new to Sadoviy

In 2025 year, also in September, in the mayor's office of Lviv, a listening device was found, camouflaged as a charger for a radiotelephone — to it were attached a SIM card, a memory card, and a microphone. We also wrote that after the disclosure of this information, the Security Service of Ukraine opened a criminal proceeding for the illegal use of special technical means of information gathering, and investigators conducted the necessary investigative and operational measures at the town hall.

Moreover, Informer reported that Sadoviy explained that the listening device in his office was found after visits by Sviridenko and Stefanchuk, as well as a number of foreign guests, and called this situation a shame for the state.
