"The situation is critical." The Kremlin acknowledged a humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky and blamed Ukraine

Press secretary of the illegitimate President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, acknowledged a humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky, which is on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. He was quoted by the Russian propagandists Vesti.

He indicated that the situation with the supply of food and medicines is "critical." He added that, allegedly, Ukrainian drone attacks are to blame.

According to him, Kyiv is doing everything to hinder these supplies. Although it is Ukraine that for more than a month has been stating that people in Oleshky are starving and that the Russian Federation is not allowing the delivery of food and the evacuation of local residents.

A day earlier, Ukraine’s foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, announced that Ukraine would bring the humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky to the consideration of the UN General Assembly. He reported that approximately 2 thousand residents remained in the settlement, among them roughly 50 children. There is no electricity or gas supply. For the past month, deliveries of food, medicines, and other essentials have been completely blocked.

At the same time, Peskov did not hesitate and continued: "The situation is indeed critical. Our military continue to work to resolve this situation."

The propagandists recalled that the head of the occupation "administration" of Kherson region, collaborator Volodymyr Saldo, reported an alleged attack by defense forces on a humanitarian convoy at the entrance to Oleshky, which "disrupted the delivery of vital cargo."
