As a result of a Russian ballistic strike on Dnipro, workers of Pinchuk’s company were killed

The enterprise that Russia struck with a ballistic missile in Dnipro during the night of 22 September, killing four workers, is part of the Interpipe company owned by businessman Viktor Pinchuk, the son‑in‑law of Ukraine’s second president Leonid Kuchma. Interpipe reported the strike on the company’s website on Tuesday afternoon.

- Unfortunately, as a result of this barbaric act of terrorism, 4 Interpipe employees were killed and 7 employees were wounded, the statement said.

The company added that assistance is being provided to those affected and support is being given to the families of the deceased. The attack damaged the enterprise’s primary production equipment and infrastructure.

- Production has been halted, the company noted.

Specialists are assessing the consequences of the attack and the timeline for recovery, and are carrying out emergency repair work.

Viktor Pinchuk founded Interpipe in 1990; it is a manufacturer of steel pipes and rail products. According to its website, the company’s products are supplied to more than 50 countries worldwide. Rail products are sold under the KLW brand. The company’s total number of employees is about 9,5 thousand people.

In the morning, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Hanzha reported the deaths of four employees of an unnamed enterprise as a result of the nighttime Russian attack. One of the dead was searched for by rescuers under the rubble.

On the night of 22 September, Russia attacked Ukraine with anti-ship, ballistic, and cruise missiles. The main targets of the strikes were Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
