Attack on Kyiv: emergency rescue operations in Solomianskyi district continue (photo)

As a result of a massive morning shelling of the capital, two people were killed and about 20 were injured. This is reported by Hlavkom with a reference to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv.

In the Holosiivskyi district, the enemy struck a five-story business center and a non-residential building. Fires that broke out have already been fully extinguished by rescuers.

In the Solomianskyi district, a strike was recorded on a non-operational building, where the fire was also extinguished. At another address in the same district, a strike was recorded on a nine-story non-residential building — rescue operations are still ongoing there.

In the Darnytskyi district, as a result of the enemy strike, a non-residential building was damaged.

Rescuers extinguish fires in Kyiv

Information on casualties and results is being clarified.

Recall that during the morning shelling of the capital, hits on a transport infrastructure facility were recorded and a fire broke out on the roof of a Ukrnafta network gas station in the Darnytskyi district. Following the strike, there was smoke over the left bank of the capital, and corresponding videos circulated online. According to Ukrnafta management, the station workers were in shelter and did not suffer.

Also during the morning attack in Holosiivskyi district, a drone hit a gas station, and a storage facility was damaged. The effects of the attack were also recorded in Solomianskyi district. According to preliminary data, there was a fire at a transport enterprise's premises. In addition, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported debris from a drone falling between residential buildings in Solomianskyi district.

During the sixth air alert of the day, a large fire erupted near the Central Railway Station. The Shajba market is burning, where the Velyka Kyshenya supermarket was previously located.

On the night of 23 September, the Russian occupation army also shelled Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, a shopping mall was damaged.

Incidentally, the chairman of the board of JSC Ukrainian Railways, Oleksandr Persovskyi, reported that a rail employee sustained fragment wounds while returning home after a shift. The man was hospitalized in serious condition, but doctors could not save his life.
